Nga Purei Whakataa Ruamano is the Midland Regions Maori Mental Health and Addictions Forum.
This forum was formed in 2001 to:
1.1 To provide a regional leadership and to advocate for Maori mental health and addictions needs.
1.2 To provide leadership on Maori mental health and addictions regional workforce priorities.
1.3 Develop strategy for regional Maori provider development aligned to the national workforce imperatives.
1.4 To promote the inclusion and implementation of Whanau Ora in Maori mental health and addictions across the region
Maori Mental Health & Addiction Service Providers, whanau and Tangata Whai Ora gather from the five DHB regions in Midland (Taranaki, Tairawhiti, Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Lakes) to hui four times a year.
