Kate StewartMeet Kate Stewart, Project Manager for Midland Projects

I am an independent contractor who has provided project management and consultancy services within the heath sector for the past seven years, working with DHBs, NGOs and other government agencies. Previous to this I held a number of senior management roles within both the DHB and NGO sector.

Originally trained as a registered nurse, I have completed post graduate Health Management qualifications, Prince 2 project management training and am also a certified Health & Disability sector lead auditor. My field of practice has been predominately within the mental health and addictions and maternal and child health areas.

Recently I commenced work on the Midland DHB Emotional Intensity Disorder (EID)  and the Midland DHB Infant Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Addictions (MH&As) project Both projects have a focus on the development service frameworks that will support improved outcomes for whanau.

The establishment of EID and ICAMHs steering groups has been integral to the framework development process. Steering group make-up includes clinical, cultural, consumer and whanau representation. The two projects are on track for completion by September 2020.
